A warm spring breeze flows through the valley as the birds begin to sing and the snow slowly melts away. Your precious village is slowly uncovered and the stone lines that define your property become visible. The earth is soft and the stones could easily roll just a bit into your neighbour’s farm granting you the extra room your clan needs. No one will notice, right?

What’s in the box?

• 54 clan cards numbered one to nine
• 10 tactic cards
• Nine stone tiles
• Two player aids

How to play:

On your turn, choose a card from your hand and place it face-up next to a stone, on your side of the border. Once you have placed a card next to a stone, it cannot be moved. Then draw a card and play moves to your opponent. If the deck is empty, you continue playing without drawing cards.

Claiming a stone: After playing a card on a stone and before drawing, you can claim one or several stones. You can only claim a stone after each player has played three cards on their side of the border. To claim a stone, you must have a stronger combination of cards than those played by your opponent. These combinations, from the strongest to the weakest, are described as follows:

• Colour run: three cards of the same colour and of three successive strengths
• Three of a kind: three cards of the same strength
• Colour: three cards of the same colour
• Run: three cards of successive strength and of any colour
• Sum: any three cards

To win, you either need to control three adjacent stones or five stones scattered along the Border!
